End of tenancy cleaning is a thorough deep cleaning process designed to restore a rental property to a pristine condition after the current tenant moves out but before a new tenant moves in making the process time sensitive.
The whole process must be complete before the final inspection and any areas that have not come up to inspection standards must be re-cleaned.
This process is crucial for landlords and tenants alike to ensure the property is in an acceptable state and is often a requirement detailed in tenancy agreements.
Each clean is allocated a 4 hour block. Some properties can take considerably longer however some can be shorter. Our teams are experienced and very efficient and will do all they can to complete as quickly as possible, you will be contacted before the clean is complete to give you time to return.
Pre-Cleaning Inspection: The process often starts with an inspection of the property to assess its condition and determine the scope of cleaning required. This step involves asking the homeowner about any specific requirements and checking for areas that require special attention.
Pre-spray: This involves the application of chemicals to the harder to clean areas for example limescale, grease and carbon.
Kitchen Cleaning: The kitchen is tackled first and is one of the areas that needs the most detailed cleaning. This includes cleaning appliances (inside and out), counter tops, sinks, taps, and cupboards. Ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, and other appliances are also deep cleaned to remove grease, carbon and food deposits.
Bathroom Sanitization: Bathrooms are next on the list. They are thoroughly scrubbed and disinfected. This includes cleaning the toilet, shower, bathtub, sink, and all fixtures.
Fixtures and Fittings: Bedrooms and all areas are hoovered. Doors, frames, radiators, skirting, light fixtures, switches, and other fittings are all cleaned and polished.
Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning: Carpets are vacuumed and prepared for shampoo or steam cleaning to remove stains and odors. Upholstery on furniture can also cleaned upon request.
Window Cleaning: Windows are cleaned both internally and externally on ground floor including the window frames and sills. Second floor internal only.
Fixtures and Fittings: All areas are hoovered and doors, frames, radiators, skirting, light fixtures, switches, and other fittings are all cleaned and polished.
Final Checks and Touch-Ups: Once the main cleaning tasks are completed, a final walk through is performed to ensure no areas have been missed and everything meets the expected standard. Any touch-ups needed are addressed at this point.
Call-backs: Any issues post clean and the team return FREE of charge to rectify any problem areas.
Our job is to make the property as appealing and hygienic as possible for new tenants, which can also help landlords ensure their properties remain competitive in the rental market. This thorough cleaning not only improves the aesthetic appeal of the property but also extends its upkeep and maintenance.
*As blinds are easily damaged we only dust and do not wipe metal style blinds. If blinds are thicker wooden type we can gently spot wipe but do not wipe down entire blinds. Detailed blind cleaning can be undertaken but must be specified before the cleaning team arrive. We do however recommend replacing blinds that are at the end of their life and we cannot be held accountable for blinds that may detach or are damaged during the cleaning process.
